"Prepare Ye the Way" Dance in Palm Sunday

Yesterday morning, we celebrated the Palm Sunday in the church. We were so excited to have the final presentation of our dance "Prepare Ye the Way" and praise God, it went well i think... :)))

In spite of that excitement, I was a bit nervous cause i was also worried of the outcome of our costume. Honestly, that wasn't the style that I and my sister Joy were thinking... :)) We supposed to have another style but we need to sew it by our hands (cause we don't have sewing machine) heheh... But, again we ran out of time since we were very busy this week for the conference that we attended for 5 days that ended last Saturday noon.

Good thing Joy and Karisse found another style on how to use that white cloth last Saturday night. When i wore it, i felt comfortable, so i think it was still cool and NICE! :) what do you think???? :))) Thanks Joy and Karisse for that brilliant idea for the costume!

Before i forget, here's the video of our dance..:)

and this was during our last practice... :))

:) Here are some pics!

Prepare Ye the Way Dance Tutorial for Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday for this year 2013 will be on the 24th of this month of March. We, Christians have this celebration in commemoration of the triumphal  entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before His death and resurrection. The Bible reveals that during this time, Jesus was greeted by the people by waving palm branches and also covering His path with palm branches..

In connection with this celebration, we prepared one dance using the song "Prepare ye the Way".

Here's the tutorial for this dance.

For the intro part,

the stanza,

the chorus,

the instrumental and the ending part of the song.. (we try to integrate some of the common Filipino Dance actions and so with the Thai Dance actions here..honestly, I find it difficult to follow the Thai Dance actions...during the practice, my hands were just so stiffed when i followed them..it seems easy when you look at it but when you perform it, mmmh, mind you, it's not that simple.........:(((( but, i still love it..i do hope i can dance a Thai Dance someday,,, needs to practice more on my hands though..:)))and the movement of the feet..

That's it!

Here are some videos during our practice.

Taken last Saturday, (sorry it was cut coz the ipad was lowbat already)

Then this, after church.. :))

God bless!

Tambourine Dance Strokes for the dance "Nothing Compares"

Hello there!

Glad to share to you the Tambourine Strokes that we will be using for our dance this coming Easter Sunday. We use this song "Nothing Compares" by Freddie Rodriguez.

Some of the strokes here were created by us and some were not... we used these strokes in our previous dances as well. So here is the possible line up of strokes for this dance.

1. Eagle's Wings

2. Arise

3. Light

4. Isaiah

5. Grace

6. Humility

7. Amazing Grace

8. Celebration

9. Mighty One

10.-11. Amazing Love & Victory

12. Steadfast Love

13. Joyful Noise

That's all...

We might be using banners as well in some parts of this dance.. mmh..still thinking though...the truth is, we are still in our way on making this dance. We didn't finalize the whole dance yet coz we are still preparing for the dance for this coming Sunday which is the "Prepare Ye the Way" in celebration of the Palm Sunday..

I am excited to what would be the out come of this dance.

Be all glory and Honor, be unto the King!

By the way, just a reminder, before i end,  it just came into my mind this point of time, mmh.....and i can't help it... this...:))
"even if we are very busy in our dance practice, let us not forget to give time to the King in talking to Him... (just saying... actually i'm just checking myself).. :))))
We might be busy in the Kingdom and not to the King... and that's very sad.. :( mmhh..
So even if we are tired, don't forget to PRAY and READ His Word.. :)
(this is really a reminder for me)

God bless!

Get Back Up (Toby Mac) Dance Tutorial

I have to admit that there were a lot of times that i failed in my walks in life, many times that i fall short to my Father in Heaven. There were times that i was so down in the dumps and very dishearten that I couldn't think of anything except these two words "GIVE UP"! (The favorite line of the enemy)  But in spite of those, i thank God that He never gave up on me. He's always there for me giving His grace everyday into my life.

My prayer that as you learn this next dance that we are going to share, may this would give you an encouragement when you feel down and wanna give up.

Let me share to you the lyrics of the chorus part on this song "Get Back Up" by Toby Mac,

We lose our way,
We get back up again
It's never too late to get back up again,
One day you will shine again,
You may be knocked down,
But not out forever,
Lose our way,
We get back up again,
So get up, get up,
You gonna shine again,
Never too late to get back up again,
You may be knocked down,
But not out forever
(May be knocked down but not out forever)

Friends, when you fall down, GET Back UP! it isn't yet too late... :) we always have HOPE in Christ. :)
