Wedding Poses

It's been a while that i haven't visited this blog of mine. i'm in the Philippines right now. enjoying our vacation with my sister here. so glad to see again the faces of my friends, relatives and family!.

while being here, we had a hectic sched of visiting friends, going somewhere with our family and relatives to have our bonding, and aside from that, enjoying the time of practicing dances too with the other dancers here in the church.

last week, we were busy doing the 3 dances which were presented during the wedding of my cousin Erlyn last October 18. And thanks be to God it was successful!

for now, i wanna show some pics here which were taken during the wedding and of course with our costumes..:) il be posting the videos when il be back in the Thailand coz of the very slow connection of the internet here..lol.

with the couple after the ceremony
This is our white-purple gown. We had this costume for the Interpretative Dance "This is the Day" and for the Tambourine Dance "Today is the Day". Thanks for the sponsors, Ate Nelia & Shanon. God bless you more!

wacky pose with the couple
Supposedly we were six dancers but unfortunately, the other dancer was sick and the other one, she had an exam on that day... so, we were only four.. it would be nicer to see 6 ladies dancing with this white-purple gown.. maybe next time.

A pose with the bride and the little bride who is my niece
This is our costume when we danced the "All my life" in the reception.

(Malou my cousin,  Jing my sister, Me, Lyn the bride-my cousin, Joy my sister too and Charity the little bride-my niece)
and this is our "sisters-pose"..lol

the 4 GALS in the Family! and we all love to dance..:))
By the way, i mentioned to you in my last post here that, before we left Thailand, we did make the steps of the dances first because the other dancers there in the church will dance too in a wedding..im so excited to see their videos. but for now i am contented with there gorgeous pose in the pic..:)

Karisse, Yvonne, Lovely and Faith
They danced too in the weeding last October 19. A tambourine dance "Today is the Day" and the Interpretative Dance "I Love You So Much" which they were the ones who choreograph.

Well, next post here, i hope i could show to you the videos!!! :)

God bless!

Today is the Day Tambourine Dance Tutorial

We have only 3 days left before we will have our flight in going back to our homeland the Philippines. I and my sister Joy are very much excited now to see our friends, relatives and most of all our family again after a year of not seeing them.

But, but, but,, out of that excitement, we are also sad coz we can't attend the activities here in the church for this month of October.  There will be a wedding here in the church on the 19th of Ow & Bow (Ow is the guitarist of the Thai worship team and Bow is one of the youths of the church) and yeah.....they will get married on that day. We want to attend their big day but since we won't be here, we tried our best to make a dance tutorial first before leaving. They requested 2 dances for that day but we only made a dance tutorial for the Tambourine Dance  for the song Today is the Day by Lincoln Brewster which we will be using also for the wedding of my cousin Lyn in the Philippines on the 18th of October. The rest of the members of the dance team will be left here, and they will make the dance of the song Love You so Much in Thai lyrics which is one of the famous songs of the Hillsong. Since we ran-out of time in making the dance steps for that... so they have to do it......right Karisse? :)) Im looking forward on seeing the video of it! :)

So for you guys in Eksilah Dance team, here's the tutorial of this dance Today is the Day! (By the way, Eksilah is a Thai term which means Cornerstone. We call our team as Eksilah Dance Team coz we are under in the Cornestone Chapel Hat Yai).

Because of YOU - Tambourine Dance

Last Saturday, it was our pleasure to share our talents in tambourine dancing to the 3 kids who are the sisters of Gene and Yvonne. They are here for vacation until November i think.

As i taught them the basic strokes of the tambourine dance, i can't help myself of reminiscing my past when i first knew the tambourine dancing. I could recall, we were only 3 then who were very much eager to learn this kind of dancing in our church. I mentioned this before in my 3rd post here in this blog. I was on the same age as they are when i also listen to my mentor Ate Belenda. :) Can't explain the feelings of joy that i felt on that moment! i was once like them.. they are also 3 girls, and we were also 3 girls then.. what a blessing to share this talent to them.

I wish they could really use this when they will go back to the Philippines.

We taught them the simple 10 tambourine strokes just for less than 2 hours...wow....(mmh...i could recall i learned 3 stokes only for 3 sessions that we had before with Ate Belinda....hahaha)..they are smart indeed! They got it all..They will practice these for 3 weeks while I and my sister will be in our vacation in the Philippines..lol. They will use these strokes for this song BECAUSE OF YOU and they will present this in the church on their last Sunday here in the Thailand. I hope i could make it to be here on that time.

So girls, here it is! Sorry the music isn't that loud. :(

Here is the list of the strokes for this dance.

1. Gospel (2x)

2. War (2x)

3. Gospel (1x)

4. Acts (2x)

5. Dancing (2x)

6. Gospel (1x)

7. Homage (2x)

8. Patentero (2x)

9. Gospel (1x)

10. Crown (2x)

11. Proclamation(2x)

12. Declaration (2x)

13. Charity (8x)

14. Proclamation (2x)

15. Declaration (2x)

The end.. :)
If ever you forgot some of these strokes, you can open my previous post or you can ask your sisters Yvone and Gene who are very good on these now! :)

Sorry i wasn't able to take photo last Saturday during the practice. So, just got this pic in our purple party..:)

The girls with their older sister Yvonne :)

My prayers that as we pass this talent to you, you could use this for God's glory and that you could pass this on to the others as well.

God bless! :)

Intro

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord.

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our strong deliverer.

You are the everlasting God

You do not faint, You won't grow weary.
You're the defender of the weak
