"In Christ Alone" Dance with complete Tutorial of the Dance steps

Last Wednesday, I was asked by our friend from Malaysia if we have a dance for the song "In Christ Alone". The answer was, NO... I'm not that familiar with the song either. But, we did try to make a dance for it. I love the song specially the version of the Newsboys.

So here it is...:)

If you want to know the dance, this might help you..the slow mo....effect..:) TUTORIAL for the steps.

1. The intro part

2. In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

3. What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled,

when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

4. Instrumental Part

5In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless Babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save

6.  Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

7. Instrumental part

8. There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again

9. And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine -
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

10. Instrumental part

11. No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath.

12. Jesus commands my destiny.

No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;

13. Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

14. the ending pose

Mother's Day Celebration in the Church

Here in the Thailand, 12th of August is celebrated as the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. As the Queen is also regarded as mother to all Thai people, this day is also celebrated as Mother's Day.

So yesterday in the church, we celebrated the Mother's Day after the worship. We gave flowers to all the mothers and declare more blessings to them in prayers.

In connection with this celebration, we presented again the tambourine dance "Let God Arise". And since the color of the Queen is blue, we made up our minds not to wear our red dresses and wear instead costumes with something blue...we were thinkin ...for a while ... and decided to wear the blue T-shirt we bought in the side walk and paired it with white skirt ...but it seems... there's somethin lacking in it. It seems it is still informal...???? so we dag out all our costumes in the boxes hoping to find somethin we can match with our blue & white costume..well, we found the gold belt that we used in our yellow costumes and 8 green pieces of cloth that we used before as our necktie in our dance during the Christmas celebration last 2010..:) gold is too far with it... so, we go for the green coz the shirt has a shade of green, this is what we call "resourcefulness":).... so here it is..with our pearl headband bought in Bangkok for 10baht each..:)
Yvonne, Wann, Karisse, Faith, Grace, Joy, Gene
poses before the worship
the music this time is very much better compared last week. Thanks to ARM again for fixing the mixer..."the all around ARM" :)
here's the video of the dance again..LET GOD ARISE!

Nezzt, one of the dancers wasn't able to dance with us during that time for an important matter to attend to. So, some parts of the formation weren't emphasized well. But still, this is better performance i guess compared last week.:)

The Thai Dancers, Pluem and Wann had their dance too dedicated to all the beloved mothers in the church.

I hope to dance a Thai dance someday. The movements of their hands make me more interested on it..they're some kind complicated for me. wish the thai dancers will teach us too ..one of this days???? :)

some pix again which were taken during the celebration.

Ajarn Simon & Ajarn Liz, praying for all the mothers in the church

and, if the kids express their thanks to their mothers, who could stop the loving husbands in expressing their gratefulness and "kilig moments" to their wives during this special day of the mothers????..:)

from the top: Ajarn Simon & Ajarn Liz, Joseph & Genebie, Bjoy & ate Nonz
and since these pipz don't have kids and hubbies yet,..hahaha ....they find their time facing to the camera!

Cornerstone Chapel Hat Yai 8th Anniversary

As what I've mentioned in my other posts, yesterday was the celebration of the 8th Anniversary of the Church where I am connected since I arrived here in the Thailand. God brought me in this country last April 7, 2010 and since then, this is the church that welcomed me and molded me through God's word for me to grow in my spiritual aspect . This is the church that witnesses my ups and downs in life in this foreign land for these past two years. This is the third time that I have joined the anniversary. Again and again, I am thankful to God for bringing me in this church.

Three dances were prepared on this celebration. First, the tambourine dance with the song "Let God Arise" which was used as the opening salvo by the Thai and Filipino dancers. Second, a creative dance with the tambourine using the song "Praise in the Highest" mixed with the "Salvation is Here" by the Filipino dancers and the third, is the Thai dance prepared by the Thai dancers.

Here is the video of the dance "Let God Arise". It didn't really go well because of some technical problems. Something wrong with the sound system. But anyway this didn't stop the dance. We continued until it was over. I still praise God for this..:) .....He has taught us to have more patience and learn to thank God in this kind of unpremeditated situation. :) We praise you LORD!

or you may like to watch too....."Praise in the Highest & Salvation is Here" creative dance.

those videos are edited already..lol...don't ask why...:))
The good news is, we will present again on Sunday during the Mother's Day Celebration of the church. Hope to have a better performance on that time.:)

Some pics on this celebration.

there was a water baptism after the worship. one of our pics there is with our Pastor & his wife after the said baptism.

who would miss the 100 pieces of durian prepared by our Pastor! yum...yum...yummy! thanks Ajarn!

the celebration was successfully done....Praise God for His word found in Isaiah 43:19 which is the Theme Verse of this celebration. It says, Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.(KJV)

Thank You Lord for your WORD!
All glory and honor be unto the King, JESUS!

Preparation for the Costumes and..etc..

Being busy isn't that big deal as along as you're enjoying on the things that you are doing and as along as you are happy working with people around you.

These past few days are considered as the busiest days for us due to our preparation for the up coming 8th Anniversary of the church which will be done on Sunday, the 5th of August. I miss this kind of life, letting your mind think and letting your body toil for something worth while.

What does it make us busy ????
Aside from our work in school as teachers from Monday to Friday, we are busy preparing our costumes for our dance and of course practicing for it. Sleeping late every night just to put the sequins on our red outfit and sewing our yellow green costume with our hands made these past 2 weeks very challenging yet very exciting. What makes it exciting???Exciting to what would be the outlook of our costumes using the "trial and error_method" in putting all these thingi in our dress., honestly this is our first time that it's us who really do this stuff. We usually just tell what we want to put on the costumes and the other "kind & creative hands" were the ones who did the job to make it nice and fascinating to look at. We miss "Gilda"..:) the master on this! Yah it is really tiring! :) but we appreciate it much and we enjoy doing this!

routine for the night in the apartment!

Trial & Error method in putting the sequin..:))
serious mode.....where's the thread??? where's the needle???? ouch!!!! my hand.

And.....in spite of the hectic schedules in school, we managed to find time to do this during our free time.

Teacher: Excuse me, may I go out.....magtahi sa ko!!!hheheh..joke..:)
making the beads for the neck
pssst...we did this after we had our class and after checking all the activities of our kids...:))..heheh

oh no it's almost Sunday....
good thing that we have 2 days of no classes this week, yesterday and today(August 2 & 3) are considered as holidays here in Thailand, I don't really know why????but that's really perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)) we have an overtime mode for the 8 red and 5 yellow green costumes. Thank you Lord! :)

THURSDAY!...We are grateful for the "back-up" of Arm...He came here with Wann just to help us.
Arm to the rescue! putting some patches for the front part of the redss...
Listening and doing the instructions of ARM.
FRIDAY!... the challenge continued....

Hand stitching......go girls!
Busy pipz with Ate Eng on her lying down position..:)
Lovely had her trial session too for the makeover for the girls...

Joy & Faith with the Make-up Artist....:)
Smokey Eye Makeup...is it okay? or any suggestions???plzz..
this day has been closed with the prayer meeting by the group. May God bless the hands of His children who work for His glory. May God bless the 8th Anniversary of the Cornerstone Hat Yai Church on Sunday. May God's Holy presence be upon us as we celebrate His goodness and great mercy to His people. Be glorified oh Lord and be magnified! Amen

Time to sleep and take a rest....tomorrow will be another challenging day..whole day practice in the church.

Thank You Lord for this day!
