Christmas Interpretative Dance with Tutorials

Advance Merry Christmas!

2 days more to go, it will be the month of December already! It's Christmas time....
though we are far from our families in the Philippines, we would still love to celebrate Christmas.

This reminds us how God loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ here on earth with that wonderful plan, and that is to save us from all of our sins- to those who BELIEVE on His name JESUS! How amazing and marvelous is Your love oh God!

Since it's almost Christmas, we wanna share to you an interpretative dance for the song "Joy to the World" by Nicholas Jonas.

Actually, someone asked me from the Philippines to make a dance for this which she could teach to her elementary students for their Christmas Party in school. Hope this could really help them even just a little. :)

We are also planning to use this dance as one of the dances that we will be presenting for the Children's Christmas Party for the 5 communities that we will be visiting this coming December 8, 9, 14 and 15. And maybe for the church Christmas Party as well.

The actions are very simple. So I hope the kids could follow the steps..if ever you find it difficult for them, you may change it to a simpler one.

So here it is! :)

Oh yah, we made this dance in school before we had our classes in the morning. :)) so sorry for the noise! lol..and the music isn't that loud..surely we will gonna post another video for this next time.. :)

1st stanza of the song.

Chorus part

2nd stanza

After that, just go back to the chorus part.

Then, the Bridge part of the song.

Back to chorus

then, bridge part again and the first 2 lines of the chorus only.

the end! :)

By the way, here's another video of the dance. There are some differences in the bridge part compared to the tutorials that we had shown to you. up to you, what do you like to follow...:)

God bless and Merry Christmas again to all....!

That's Me without YOU Dance by Toby Mac

The first time i heard this song "That's me without You" by Toby Mac was when my sister Joy posted the video of this on her facebook account...lol.. and since then, i was hooked up by the beat of it...Joy does really like this song so much. So, I asked her to take the challenge in making the dance steps of it and she really did it! All of the actions here are made by her... Congratz Kadz!...nice nice...
I love it and so with the other guys in the group.

The nice thing in performing this dance last Saturday was the presence of the other two friends whom we seldom see dancing now. So honored to have Te Janet (a friend from Malaysia whom I used to be with in the Philippines as my mentor in leading the Young People in the church...i tell you she was once a trainer for tambourine dance and interpretative dance back then.. she hasn't danced for a long time, so am so glad to see her back on the dance mode..:)..hope she would still continue to dance...right Te Janet? :D.) and with Te Ren (the videoGIRLpher who is always behind us supporting the group without any reservation. you seldom see her on our video coz she was the one who's taking all of it...but this time, she let go of holding the Ipad..hehehe and yeh she is dancing with us!)

We had so much fun last Saturday! After having the photo shoot session with Te Janet, we had our finale.... the Dance Session of the gals for "That's me without You"!

We usually took our video inside the church, but this time...:)))for a change???? we had it in the hallway of a hotel and the funny thing is...hehehe we had it beside the doors for the elevators..LOL

Here's the video!

This is the tutorial videos for the dance.. Sorry for the noise on the video coz it was so windy when we had that..lol

Pink Sunday

After having a nice vacation in the Philippines and a few days of having fun in Malaysia, it's good to be back and see the people again in the church here in Thailand. Last Sunday, i was so glad to be back in the team.

And with our floral pink dress, people were asking what's the occasion in the church which seems to have a special celebration due to our new attire..:)

mmmh...we just consider every Sunday a special day! and if it's possible to have a new costume every Sunday, we will go for it as long as our wallet is still on the go! LOL... isn't it better..:) ssshhh.. don't worry that dress is not expensive..hahahah. That's the best thing of being here in Thailand, you can easily find an affordable costumes where you can use even in regular Sundays.

And with that outfit, we decided to dance "Today is the Day" before we had the praise & worship. This is the first time that we perform this tambourine dance together. As what i've said,  I & Joy danced this in the Philippines thrice, while the rest of the group had this in a wedding last October.

So here's the video when we had it all together last Sunday! _ The Pink Sunday_ :))

oopppss .. sorry for that noise in the first part of the dance.. the microphone wanted to join with us, it shouted loud!,,hahahah...

Some pics after the worship..

70 baht isn't that much to have this dress..:)

Other Wedding Dances: "All my Life" & "Love You so Much"

Hello again everyone! I haven't posted here for a little while, so now, i have this another post about wedding dances that we had.

We also performed the dance "All my Life" during the reception of the wedding of my cousin Erlyn. This time, we MADE our male cousins danced with us..hahah...well, really i was so happy to see them dancing with us! it wasn't perfect but we really had a great time doing that for the lovely bride, who is also a dancer and at the same time a trainer for a lot of dances that we had in our church.

Wanna see the video? we made this dance a day before the wedding and the guys had their practice a night before the event... hahah.... here it is!

Female Dancers: Joy, Jing, Malou & I
Male Dancers: Lloyd(cousin), Ryan(cousin of the bride on her father side), Ermar(cousin- brother of the bride), Junie(cousin)
And with the Newly wed: Marlon & Erlyn

Eksilah Dance Team in the Thailand had another dance too aside from the Tambourine Dance- "Today is the Day". They presented the dance "Love You so Much" by the hillsongs but in Thai Version. They were the ones who choreographed on this..So proud of you girls!

Here's their video which was taken by Joseph Sajolan with his BIGCAM! :)- our drummer in the church. Thanks much..much..

The dancers were: Yvonne, Karrise, Lovely and Faith...:)
Nice one girls! Looking forward for the next one...when would that be? December?...:))

mmhhh...i guess that's all..:) lol
time for bed...nyt..nyt..:)))

Blessings!

Wedding Dance - Today is the Day

"Today is the Day"- the tambourine dance that we performed 3 times in the Philippines during our 20-day vacation. :). Twice for the weddings and 1s during the youth gathering.

Yah, right! we had this for 3 times, excluding the number of times during the practice..lol...

First, we danced this as an act of celebration during the wedding of my cousin Erlyn. I mentioned to you on the other post that we had our dance "This is the Day" before she had her walk to the altar, then.... mmhh can you imagine the Bride and the Groom Dancing in the church? But yeh, after their marriage kiss, (witwewwwww...:D) we the Tambourine Dancers entered as the song "Today is the Day" by Lincoln Browster was played. And in the last part of the dance? the groom's men led by the best man,  the bride's maid led by the maid of honor and with the newly wed couple; guess what? we MADE them dance with us...hahahha...i mean, we LET them dance with us! Yeh it was indeed a great celebration! It was fun!....

here's the video of it!

We were only 4 dancers instead of 6. My 2 siblings Joy and Jing, our cousin Malou and I were the only available dancers at that time. My other cousin was sick and the other one was having an examination in school when we danced this.... But i guess that's still fine or better because of the small space in the church.

During the wedding of Arcel and Juliet, we had this again..lol...(because we didn't have enough time to make another dance coz of the very limited days that we had in the Philippines.) This dance was only performed during their reception. The suggestion of the couple was to let all the people dance with us, not only the secondary sponsors, but all....including the principal sponsors and all the people in the venue. hehehhe...but we failed on that.. we didn't able to let all of them dance....mmhh i think that is really expected to happen..others dont really like to dance and we should respect that.. :)) or maybe, they were just shy..:))

sorry, i dont have a video on this.. mmmh..:((

Last October 28, So grateful that the Sunday JAM (JAM Agusan) was held in our church and again, we presented this tambourine dance.
Here is the video..:)

The other members of the Eksilah Dance Team who were left in the Thailand danced this as well last October 19 in a wedding. Here's their video!

Special thanks to Joseph Sajolan who took this video!

So glad to have this dance for the month of October specially during weddings!
Hope you guys out there got some ideas for your weddings too..:) i wonder what would be mine in my wedding! hahah lol!

God bless everyone!

Wedding Dance- This is the Day

This is the day

That the Lord hath made

And I'm so glad He made you

With each rising sun

You are here by my side

You are more than a dream come true

Oh to have you, to hold you

To love you, to pray
To share with, to care with
To hold hands and say

This is the day
That the Lord hath made
And I will rejoice I will rejoice I will rejoice with you
This is the day
That the Lord hath made that you and I are one
Love's mystery is unfolding today
Written for us in the Son
Oh for better, for worse
For rich or for poor
Each day that passes
I'll love you more 'Cause

These are the lyrics of the song entitled "This is the Day" which were written by Scott Wesley Brown. A wedding song that i heard already since i was still in elementary i guess. It is an old song, yet a very meaningful one.

On my cousin's wedding (Erlyn), we danced this before she had her walk going to the altar. As we choreographed this dance, we included the "drama- effect"in passing the bouquet to the bride. The bouquet was brought by me as an "older" cousin :))) Lol...going to the altar, then at the last part of the dance, i got it again, then i passed it to my sister, then she brought it to my cousin who is the bride!

here's the edited video of it...

Intro of the dance (picture was taken by JTC Photography)
Aside from the wedding of my cousin, another wedding was done before we came back here in Thailand. It was the wedding of Juliet and Arcel. The bride is one of my closest youth leaders in our District. And believe it or not, we were one of the reasons why she did change the date of her wedding...lol...in stead of November 10, she had it last October 27 so we could join. that's really such a favor given to me coz i do really wanna be there on her big day. I had the opportunity to sing, dance and to be the host for the ceremony and for the reception in the absence of the real Host! hahah ...And yah, we danced this song "This is the Day" again. Unlike on my cousin's wedding, we had this dance as an opening  of the ceremony.

Here it is...:))

Some pics during the wedding..
